Tech Toolkit 2.0
Newer Version Has Been Released! CLICK HERE!
Based off of the idea of Bryce Whitty’s “Computer Repair Utility Kit” from Technibble.com. The downfalls of Bryce’s idea was that he had the complete package with all the tools offered for download on his site, which of course sucked up bandwidth, and some authors of the applications, while freeware, wanted the only download of their software to be at their own sites.
To bypass these problems Tech Tools uses Ketarin, which is an application downloader that checks to see if an application has been updated and downloads it if so.
So I’ve compiled a list of apps that that were part of the original tool, and either
subtracted or added them due to their portability. i.e. if the program had an installer i didnt include it, I used mostly standlone executables for this first package.
You use Ketarin to first download all your tools and it will automatically extract them to their categorized folders.Once Downloaded you can then open Pstart.exe ,its menu is already configured to show the downloaded tools. You would then use Ketarin weekly to auto-update all these tech tools so you would always have a fresh copy of the program on your USB.

*** THE NIRSOFT TOOLS THAT GET DOWNLOADED FOR PASSWORD RECOVERY GET MISTAKENLY IDENTIFIED AS VIRUS/HACKTOOLS THEY ARE NOT VIRUSES!!!***
I’m trying to keep it up to date every few months to make sure the weblinks to some apps are fixed.

Kaspersky reports 3 versions of ‘not-a-virus:PSWTool.Win32’ in Password Recovery, and one instance of ‘not-a-virus:RemoteAdmin.Win32’ in netcat. Are these false postives? Nevertheless, wonderful effort. Many thanks.

Full of maleware. Aviod.
on July 30th, 2009 at 11:01 am
it downloads nirsofts tools which some antivirus companies label as “hacktools”
all the files are direct downloads from their own sites, so you can pick and choose which ones you dont want to download
on July 30th, 2009 at 12:49 pm
if it was “maleware” it’d be full of dudes, i think you are referring to “malware” aka virii, all of the tools are downloaded directly from the author’s sites so there is no chance to insert a virus.
The only “malware” you could be referring to would be the password tools from Nirsoft.net , which , as everyone knows, are labeled as hacktools by most antivirus companies because of their nature
So do some research and spell checks before you try posting anything.

when i try to open the ketarin, this errors appears”the application failed to initialize properly(0xc000135).click ok to terminate the application.why?

I received the following error messages when running Ketarin from the usb drive.
Why is it looking for tmp files on my C drive? Shouldn’t they be created on the usb drive anyway?
Also some servers/files are not found and one is the wrong format.
Can you help?
Thanks
