Toshiba laptops aren’t like most laptops where you can remove the BIOS battery and let it sit for a few hours to reset the BIOS. So what do you do? There are three forms of BIOS password removal being used currently by Toshiba:
1. Parallel port wraparound connector
2. Shorting a jumper, with power and with no power
3. Challenge/Response code

Allows you to recover your username and password for your Steam login for Valve games locally from your computer.

This method works if the “Remember My Password” was selected before logging in. It also will work if you didn’t select “Remember My Password” but are currently logged into your Steam account.

Built in pure Assembler language this program is only 8.5kb and fits perfectly on a thumbdrive to carry with you anywhere.

One effective way of assessing password strength is to try and crack them, and as most of you probably know, dictionary attack is the simplest yet formidable technique for cracking passwords. Sébastien Raveau generated a quick & dirty wordlist from Wikipedia in a dozen of languages. It helped quickly crack countless passwords, a lot of which bruteforcing would never get to. Weak Passwords on Extensions = Hacked SIP/PBX

An unknown organization is systematically checking for open SIP ports and then trying common extension usernames and passwords. If they find weak passwords, they are then into the PBX and can make thousands of calls in a matter of minutes. Protect yourself. Some were Asterisk and some were SIP-based VoIP PBX. Itappears that the hack has nothing to do with any sort of Asterisk vulnerability, but with insecure passwords set for extensions.
